The Port Burwell – Bayham Horticultural Society is just one of more than 250 Horticultural Societies in Ontario working on projects to keep Ontario beautiful. The projects include a wide variety of activities like beautifying local parks, planting boxes in downtown areas, and creating and maintaining public gardens around government buildings, hospitals, health and hospice centres.
Join us and enjoy friendly camaraderie from gardeners just like you...from novice to expert to just plain crazy!
Monthly meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the 3rd Monday of every month (except January, February and December). They include speakers that offer tips and informative presentations for enjoyment and learning. Everyone is welcome and we hope you will consider becoming a member and feel free to bring a friend.
Special events are also hosted during the year including tours, plant sale/swap, and community activities to enhance our local landscape.
We plant community gardens and planters to bring beauty to the area, benefiting residents and visitors alike.
We also offer an annual scholarship to East Elgin Secondary School to support a student with a desire for continued education in Horticulture.
Come check us out and share your ideas about garden tours, speakers and everything horticultural. Together we strive to bring both appreciation and enjoyment to the garden.
