The Wasaga Beach Garden Club was originally formed around 1997, marking its 25th anniversary in 2022. The group officially became the Wasaga Beach Horticultural Society after incorporating under the Agricultural and Horticultural Organizations Act around June 2013. The club is active in maintaining local public gardens and promotes horticulture in the area. The Wasaga Beach Garden Club provides leadership and assists in the promotion of education and interest in all areas of horticulture and related environmental issues, dedicated to the beautification of our community, through the expanded network of the Ontario Horticultural Association.
Meeting Information:
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from April to June and September to December at 7:00 pm for social time with our meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Although we do not meet in July or August, we do have other activities happening such as garden tours, member picnics and outings to various interesting gardens and farms. Our December meeting is our AGM and Christmas Party.
Our meetings include an expert guest speaker providing gardening information, tips, handouts and much more!
Our Club holds an Annual Plant Sale in May where the plants from local gardens can be purchased. This is our main fundraiser of the year.
