We want share an important update regarding the DUUO Vendor Insurance Program offered through Co-operators.
DUUO has informed us that, effective May 31, 2026, Districts and Societies/Clubs will no longer be able to register new vendor events with DUUO. Through discussions with our DUUO representative, we learned that DUUO is discontinuing vendor and event insurance because the program has become cost prohibitive for them to maintain.
Here is what you need to know:
Coverage for Existing and Upcoming Events: All events already registered to take place up to and including November 30, 2026, will remain available to your vendors. All new vendor policies will still be available for purchase with effective dates up to November 30, 2026, provided they meet eligibility requirements. DUUO will fully exit vendor and event insurance after November 30, 2026.
Action Required:
- If you have upcoming events taking place before November 30, 2026 that are not yet registered, please ensure they are registered before May 31, 2026 to receive the OHA discount using this link: https://duuo.ca/vendor-event-
partner-registration-form/ - Eligibility: DUUO cannot support events with fewer than 25 vendors, as processing these policies is no longer financially viable for them.
- After May 31, 2026, vendors can still purchase vendor insurance through DUUO, at regular pricing, by selecting “can’t find my event.” Please ensure all required details are provided for their Confirmation of Insurance (venue name, legal address, additional insureds, etc.).
- Please remove all references to DUUO Vendor Insurance from your digital and printed materials, including links, promo codes, and logos.
Looking Ahead: The OHA is actively exploring alternative insurance options to support Districts, Societies/Clubs hosting events with vendors. We will share further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
