Since its discovery in the mid-1800’s, photography has made an invaluable contribution to the telling of
stories. Photographs raise awareness of the natural beauty on Manitoulin Island and on the hills of Sudbury and
contribute to making the world a better place. “Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a
second (French photographer Marc Riboud).
Banquet presentations include ‘On the hills of Sudbury’, Natural history of Manitoulin Island’, ‘For the love of a
rose’, ‘Lowbush blueberry: Canada’s smartest plant’ and ‘Amazing insects: Little things that run the world’.
