Paul Knowles is an author and speaker. He has written 16 books, including humourous garden
books, history books, and a murder mystery. He has also written the lyrics for musical works,
including “The River Rolls”, which has been featured on CBC Radio, and “Canadian Waters Suite”,
premiered by the London Pro Musica Choir. He has written gardening, humour, travel and feature
articles for publications including Forever Young, Exchange Magazine, Southbound, The United
Church Observer, Joyoftravel.ca, The Toronto Sun, and many other periodicals. His work has
been published in Canadian Gardening, The Reader’s Digest, and Maclean’s. His work has won
national and international awards.
Paul has received the Governor General’s Medal, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, and has
been named Wilmot Township’s Cultural Citizen of the Year. Paul is co-chair of the Travel Media
Association of Canada, Ontario Chapter.
Paul’s hobbies include travel, gardening, choral singing, cooking, reading, wine tasting, and
avoiding power tools.
