Bracebridge Horticultural Society

District 18

About Us

Bracebridge Horticultural Society has been meeting since 1932 and work at educating and beautifying Bracebridge and encouraging people to garden. Along with all our usual events, such as plant sales, flower shows, the front yard garden recognition contest we have many exciting outreach and workshop events being planned for 2024. Annually, we offer a one-time $1,000.00 post secondary bursary to students from Bracebridge who are continuing their studies in horticulture, agriculture or environmental studies. The area high school front offices have application forms to fill out and send to the horticultural society for consideration. You are most welcome to come join our group. We also look after several gardens, have member garden tours and much more. Also, be sure to check out our facebook page for lots of interesting news, tips and videos at http://www.facebook.com/bracebridgegardeners.
Our society plants and maintains four major public gardens in Bracebridge. We pay for and plant a section of the Rotary Centennial Gardens on Pine St., three gardens around the Centre for Active Living on Dominion St., our 20 year old signature Millennium Garden on Ecclestone Drive and have maintained the town gardens at the Public Library on Manitoba St. since 1996. We take great pride in these gardens and have great fun working on them together every year.
