About Us

We invite you to join our society - our program consists of expert speakers offering information and tips on various horticultural subjects, an annual plant auction, open gardens or garden tours, flower, vegetable and photographic competitions. CHS also maintains several civic gardens, a Nature Trail, and main street planters as part of the civic beautification within the villages of Cannington and Sunderland.

Adult Member: $15. Couple Membership: $25. Youth Member: $3.

General Information:

General meetings and flower shows are held on the last Monday of the month at 7:30pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 186, 72 Peace Street, Cannington, Ontario.
Meetings are held in March, April, May, June, September, October and November. The Annual General Meeting is held in early December.
Meeting are open to the public- refreshments served.

Plant Auction & Sale May 11, 2019 9:30 am Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 186, 72 Peace St., Cannington Great opportunity to purchase locally grown perennials, annuals, vegetable seedlings, fruit cane stock and much, much more! Come and see what you can bid on in our live auction!
May Meeting: Going Native May 27, 2019 7:30 pm Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 186, 72 Peace St., Cannington Guest speaker, professor and author of nine books, Richard Dickinson speaks on "Going Native: Incorporating Wildflowers and Native Plants into Your Garden. Doors open at 6:30pm.
June Meeting: Greener Futures June 24, 2019 7:30 pm Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 186, 72 Peace St., Cannington Guest speaker, teenager author Emma Biggs speaks on "Greener Futures: Gardening Projects for Kids". CHS is launching our Youth program and looking to encourage the youth of the community to get involved in horticultural!. The "Enchanted Garden Challenge" will also be part of the this evening. Bring the kids and see how you can get involved!
