Smithville Garden Club

District 9

About Us

The Smithville Garden Club's mission is to promote sustainable activities related to gardening and nature. A plant sale is organized annually which provides people an opportunity to purchase good quality plants at bargain prices and learn about heirloom varieties, pollinator plants and have gardening questions answered. The Smithville Garden Club awards an annual bursary to a graduating student at the local highschool that is continuing their education in the horticulture field. Spring container planting and other workshops are offered as part of the annual program. Activities focus on youth engagement through planting pollinator gardens, identifying native plants and insects are other important activities that help the club achieve its mandate.
