Moorefield & District Horticultural Society

District 7

About Us

The Moorefield & District Horticultural Society was formed in 1926. Our "nickname" is the Mapleton Buds and Blooms! We have 8 regular meetings during the year. Often we will host some fundraising events and/or a car tour of a garden not too far away. We maintain many local gardens in Mapleton township such as at the Moorefield park, Centennial park flower bed in Drayton and the Moorefield Terrace flower beds. Our volunteers help with the flower planters located in Moorefield, Drayton, Rothsay and Goldstone. We have speakers at all of our meetings except the annual meeting in November where we have a potluck dinner. There are flower shows at the May, June and August meetings and we have a plant sale in Moorefield in June. We welcome all members of the public to attend our meetings! We would love to see you!
