About Us

The St. Thomas & District Horticultural Society has the distinction of being the oldest, continuous running society in Elgin County. Established in 1870.
The floral symbol for our society is a historic Hybrid Tea Rose “Crimson Glory”. We encourage new members to join our society, you can be sure of a warm welcome, no experience necessary just a love of gardening.
Our General Meeting is held on the fourth Wednesday of the month, starting at 7:00 PM. We meet at the CASO Station, 750 Talbot Street, St. Thomas, ON N5P 1E2
Our activities include; Seedy Saturdays, an annual Student Award, Community Gardens at the CASO Station and the St. Thomas Elevated Park (STEP), Plant Sales, Flower Shows, Garden Tours as well as guest speakers at our general meetings.
The fee to join our society is: $15 for individual members $20 for 2 family members at one address.
