SUMMARY:General Meeting and Speaker
DESCRIPTION:The Huntsville Horticultural Society will hold its first General Meeting of the year on Tuesday\, March 10th at the Huntsville Public Library. (Enter by the After Hours Side Door located on the West side of the building).  Doors open at 6:45 pm. The meeting starts at 7 pm.\n\nOur speaker will be Sean Patchett.  Sean is a member of the Muskoka branch of Master Gardeners and is a co-host of a  gardening podcast called Plants Always Win.  Sean’s presentation will be  entitled “Gardening Beyond Your Limits; Pushing Your Climates and Microclimates.”   In this talk\, He will explain the variables of climates\, what measures are taken to determine your “zone”\, define microclimates\, and explore means by which people can push their limits or even beyond their suggested limits. He’ll talk about some principles of heat loss and insulation. And he will show examples of each that will help gardeners read the signs in nature that tell them what works and what doesn’t work.\n\nWe will have refreshments at the meeting.  If you wish to donate goodies this month please let me know.\n\nIf you have any plants etc. to donate for the Green Elephant table\, Carol will be happy to have them.\n\nMemberships will be available for purchase. We are always happy to have new members so bring a friend and spread the word!\n\nAll are welcome\n\nPlease remember to “Lug a Mug”.  The environment with thank you.\n\nHope to see you then.
