“Selecting the Right Soil and Fertilizer” with Robert Pavlis
March 24, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Richmond Hill Garden & Horticultural Society is hosting four webinars in the Growing Vegetables series, all led by Master Gardeners who are also vegetable-gardening enthusiasts.
The Module 4 presentation introduces you to some basic concepts about soil and then reviews the function of various components including sand, clay, air and organic matter. It will look at various soil amendments to understand why you might add them to soil and selecting the right soil for various gardening situations. Fertilizer will also be discussed, along with some fertilizer myths that will help you select the right fertilizer for gardens and containers.
