March 3, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Spring will soon be here and the first wildflowers of the year will start to appear. In this talk, we will survey some of the early-blooming species found in our area, and explore a host of fascinating stories including the little-known backstory of our provincial floral emblem, some unusual pollination, and seed dispersal strategies, the surprising origins of some spring wildflower names, and much more!

He has done walks, talks, and workshops for nearly 100 organizations, ranging from naturalist clubs & conservation groups to provincial parks & academic institutions. His interests include wildflowers, fungi, moths, dragonflies, ecology, biomimicry, and the etymology of scientific names. His website is at https://natureknowledge.weebly.com.
