Calling all OHA District 17 Horticultural members – mark your calendars – you don’t want to miss this Annual General Meeting! “Embracing Biodiversity: a world of variety for the future”. Flower and Photography Show open to all 2023 registered members in OHA District 17.
Keynote Guest Speakers: Lorraine Johnson, author, editor and community activist. Author/editor of fourteen books including top selling “A Garden for the Rusty-Patched Bumble Bee: Creating Habitat Gardens for Native Pollinators” and “100 Easy to Grow Native Plants for Canadian Gardens”.
Plus, Jillian Bishop, owner of Urbantomato – dedicated to growing heirloom seeds and fostering seed trading and sharing.
Special Youth Guest: ‘Morgan’s Monarchs’. Morgan is a young girl from Orillia who has been very active in promoting the importance of preserving monarch habitat – she has started the ‘Orillia Butterflyway’ as part of the David Suzuki Foundation’s Butterflyway Project. We encourage you to bring your youth out to meet Morgan who will have an info table!
Adult and Youth Flower Show plus Photography Classes, Vendors, Silent Auction and door prizes all part of the day’s events.
Pre-register to attend: Tickets $30 each for Adults, $20 each for Youth- ages 17 and under (includes lunch and refreshments)
