At this time, events are being scheduled but may change without much notice depending on current covid-19 restrictions. Please check with the organizer for any you are interested in to get the most uptodate information.
Shift your idea of yourself as the gardener. Introduce yourself to the organisms that really run the show in your garden. Understand how plant litter becomes plant nutrients, how to keep your soil in great shape, and how to increase your garden scape’s resilience in the midst of pest pressures and climate changes.
Mary will take you through how to build your landscape’s complexity and environmental support by learning how to design, plant, and care for it as an interconnected web of life. That means simple things like making your own compost, introducing more native plants, and sitting back to watch the rest of nature live in your garden too.
Also our first Flower Show of the season tonight- we invite all CHS members new and returning to check out the classes and see what you can enter. This is a fun opportunity to share what’s growing in your gardens. All entries to be placed by 7pm. Judging to follow. Doors open at 6:30 for members to place exhibits.
Youth members may also register for the summer challenge: Bee the Change: Plant Natives Complete details and registration forms will be available.
All welcome to attend – refreshments served
