CHS April Meeting ‘Fruit & Native Trees for the Future
April 25, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

We invite you to join us for our April meeting and first Flower Show of the season.
Guest speaker Richard Dickinson will be presenting on ‘Fruit and Native Trees for the Future’. As the changing climate and biodiversity loss impact us on a provincial and local level, this is having a major effect on our current tree covered zones and what the forests of the future will look like. Richard will guide us through planting the trees for tomorrow and the species and options that will provide the most benefit for generations to come.
Cannington resident Richard Dickinson is a plant taxonomist and author of nine books, specializing in native plants of North America. He brings a wealth of exceptional knowledge to share with us.
We look forward to learning what species we may grow for the future and invite you to join us.
Included this evening is the first Flower Show of the season. All members are invited to place their entries from 6:30 to 7pm prior to judging.
Youth classes are included in the Flower Show – we encourage all Youth Members to participate.
Doors open at 6:30pm
